Greenwich football support staff

Joe Urbano has been on the Greenwich Staff since 2013. He started out as an Assistant Sophomore Coach before moving to the Equipment Coordinator in 2018.

Coach Urbano is also a baseball assistant for the Greenwich Baseball Program. He also serves as the Winter Season Athletic Site Director for the Athletic Department.

Joe Urbano graduated from Trumbull High School.

Erin Montague

Coach Montague is in her 2nd season as the Director of Football Operations. She looks forward to supporting the staff, program and players of her favorite football team, the Greenwich Cardinals.

Coach Montague was previously the GHS Head Cheerleading Coach from 2016-2019. Coach Montague graduated from Greenwich High School where she was Quad-Captain of the Class LL State Championship Squad her senior year.  While at GHS, Coach Montague was a three-time team MVP, National Cheerleading Association (NCA) All-American Cheerleader, awarded the NCA Individual Leadership Award, and a member of the CT All-Academic Cheerleading Team. Coach Montague previously coached at the sub varsity level at GHS from 2011-2015. Erin currently works at Western Middle School as a School Counselor and the AVID Site Coordinator and cannot wait to continue cheering on the Cardinals.

Pete Falla has been the Greenwich High School Athletic Trainer since 1994. He is also an integral part of the ONS Sports Medicine Team and has been for over 27 years. His responsibilities include: providing athletic training, services to student athletes, medical coverage at sporting events and daily practices, and assisting in patient care at ONS Physical Therapy.

 

He attended Springfield College where he earned his BS in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine. Before that he attended Brien McMahon High School where he was football captain and two year track and field captain. Pete's son Drew is a Junior Offensive Lineman for the Cardinals.

Peggy has been an athletic trainer with Greenwich High since 2020. Prior to this, she was the Athletic Trainer at Trinity Catholic High School for 17 years while also assisting in Physical Therapy clinics with patient rehabs.

Along with her responsibilities at the high school of providing athletic training services to the student athletes for daily practices and games, Peggy is also the DME Coordinator at ONS, providing specialty brace fittings for patients ranging from high school athletes to older weekend warriors.

Peggy has a bachelor's degree in Human Movement and Sport Science from Sacred Heart University where she was a 4-year starter on the Women's soccer team. She also has her master's degree in Human Performance/Exercise Science from Southern Connecticut State University. Originally from NY, Peggy attended Wallkill HIgh School where she was a 4-year varsity starter in soccer and basketball and a 2 year member of the track team.
